Connemara National Park was founded and opened to the public in 1980. It features 29.57 square kilometres of mountains, bogs, heaths, grasslands and forests. Dotted throughout are peat bogs and mounds of cut turf that are being harvested for burning. The scenery closely resembled that of Skye and the Scottish west coast.

Your photos are so beautiful. I want to visit Ireland badly!!!!
The piles of peat were funny--I thought it was a pile of old tires at first.
Hope everyone is okay. We have started school for the year. It has been interesting so far.

A lot of jeans and shorts here have the adjustable waistbands with the buttons and straps you pull, but most don't work for ds1. By the time he pulls the waist as tight as he needs, the garment is too tight in other areas or too short in the length. It's frustrating, but sometimes we just laugh about it.
